Development Status of and Strategies for the Convergence of Government Microblog and WeChat Accounts in China

摘要：

　　Government WeChat and microblog accounts have been new forms for online government governance, and the convergence of the two is a great measure to improve government service delivery.The development status, features and problems of the convergence are analyzed in this paper.Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the convergence of and government microblog and WeChat accounts can make their advantages complement with each other.Besides, the convergence is an irresistible trend.Efforts should be made to clarify their differences, take advantages of information disclosure of government microblog, improve governments ability of providing service via WeChat account, and expand the convergence channels.In addition, new technologies should be applied to enhance the stickiness of the accounts and improve the governments ability of crisis management.
