Drivers of Residential Energy Consumption Based on Refined Laspeyres Decomposition Method--The Case of Heilongjiang Province of China

  With the improvement of peoples living standards, household energy consumption rapid growth, energy supply and demand contradictions become increasingly prominent.In this paper, the energy consumption of Heilongjiang province is divided into two parts: the urban and rural areas;refined laspeyres decomposition method is used to analyze the factors influencing the energy consumption of urban residents and rural residents, which including demographic factors, economic factors and intensity factors and energy structure factors.Results show that: population, economic factors, energy intensity and energy structure promote the increase of energy consumption in the energy consumption of urban residents, and economic factors and energy intensity are the main factors;economic factors and energy intensity increase energy consumption in the energy consumption of the rural residents.However population factors inhibit the increase of energy consumption, and the effect of energy structure is weak in the energy consumption of the rural residents.
