Study of Sewerage Silts Characteristics in Urban Drainage Network System of Mountain City

  Chongqing is a mountain city withcomplexlandform which has imperfecturban drainage networksystem,which brings plenty of silts into the sewerage.The silts will lead to severe wear of equipment and pipe networkblocked.It affects the efficiency of wastewater treatmentseverely.This article investigated the particles size distribution,surface morphology and composition of silts.The results prove that: mountain city sewerage silt particles size distribution in the form of normally distributedroughly,91.43% particles belong to ultra-fine sandwith the size less than 250μm ; the average area of silt particles are enlarged form 303.31 μm2 to 904.56μm2 under the packaging of organics,and the average shape factor of these particles is 0.56; sewerage silts consist of C,O,Mg,Al,Si,Ca and Fe,and the package of organics is severe.
