A review of source analysis technologies for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in ambient air
1.Introduction Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a class of organic chemicals with at least 2benzene rings. They are ubiquitous in ambient air and several of them are known human carcinogens and can be transformed to more toxic daughter compounds (Marr et al.,2006).Source analysis of PAHs plays an important role in the pollution control of them.Worldwide studies have been carried out on their sources using both qualitative methods like diagnostic ratios and quantitative tools such as receptor models (Katsoyiannis et al.,2011;Larsen and Baker,2003).
