Little is known about emission characteristics of PM2.5,chemical compositions in PM2.5 from agricultural residue burning, although such information is critical in source apportionment modeling, emission inventories, and health effect studies. In this paper,we reported emission factors of PM2.5and PM2.5-bound chemical compositions from the burning of rice, wheat and corn straw, three major agricultural residues in China. The PM2.5-bound chemical composition include black carbon (BC),organic carbon (OC),water-soluble ions (WSI),polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and alkyl-polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (APAHs).Compared with the results of other studies previously conducted,we found that emission factors of PM2.5,PM2.5-bound chemical compositions were at the lower end of the reported values, which might be attributed to the higher combustion efficiency (MCE>0.9).Our results can provide the basic information for the development of PM2.5 profiles for source apportionment, emission inventories, and health effect assessment.
