Dechlorination of 2,4,6-chlorophenol in presence of nitrate and sulfate
Introduction Chlorophenols are widely used in many industrial fields, and it causes pollution to natural water environmental, even toxicity to aquatic animals and plants.Usually 2,4,6-chlorophenol(TCP) is representative of chlorophenols, and degradation of TCP,especially its detoxification has caused peoples attention.Biological degradation and detoxification are thought to be good strategy, and compared with aerobic, anaerobic method was more favor by people, because reductive dechlorination occurs under anaerobic condition, and the toxicity of TCP decrease with C1 ions removals,so it is significant to investigate reductive dechlorination of TCP.But,for real wastewater,TCP co-existed usually with nitrate or sulfate that inhibited biodegradation or dechlorination of TCP.In this work,we investigated effect nitrate or sulfate on TCP biodegradation to supply theoretical bases for treatment ofwastewater concluding TCP.
