1.Introduction Slow-growing nitrifying bacteria are easily affected by the surrounding factors and toxic compounds due to their physiological and ecological characteristics which cause two main problems to nitrification system in biological treatment system:slow starting up and easily crashingunder conditions of shock loads and low temperature.
