Effect of magnetic field on the adsorptive removal of methylene blue onto wheat straw biochar
Background Agricultural wastes including wheat straw,rice husk and cornstalk are generated in a large amount annually.They are available as low-cost resource for adsorption,biomass energy and precursory material for biochars.As a stable carbon-rich material,the application of biochar for solving environmental problems can be defined in the categories including carbon sequestration,soil management,pollution remediation,and agricultural by-product/waste recycling,among which the utilization of biochar as adsorbents for the removal of environmental pollutants emerges as a promising technology.It is quite reasonable and feasible to promote the application of biochar for practical decontamination.
