Effective extraction methods for extracellular polymeric substances from Shewanella oneidensis

摘要：

Extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) play crucial roles in bio-aggregates formation and selfprotection of bacteria.EPS of Shewanella oneidensis,a model dissimilatory metal-reducing bacterium,have been reported to be related with two redox proteins of MtrC and OmcA in the bioremediation of Uranium-contaminated environment.Many methods have been reported for EPSextraction.
