Thermal treatments impacts on high-solid-content anaerobic digestion of swine manure
Swine manure is one of the most pressing environmental issues.Anaerobic digestion (AD) could treat swine manure and recover biogas.In this study,thermal treatment of raw swine manure was conducted,and its effects on HSAD were investigated.The results indicated that the hydrolysis of main organic compounds in manure (protein,cellulose,and hemicellulose) was significant during thermal treatment.The methane production rates of the thermally-pretreated manure for 1,2,3,4d were 49.7 %,55.9 %,62.7 %,39.2 % higher than that of raw manure.
