Measurement Calibration and Safe Application of Smith Infusion Pump
Objective: Testing the Smith infusion pump which is used by clinical departments to find and solve the existing problems,so as to ensure the safety of transfusion.Methods: FLUKE ADI-5 is used to calibrate the Smiths infusion pumps.Results: The qualified rate of flow is 83.3%,while the qualified rate of obstruction is 63.9%,which indicates some problems in using and preventive maintenance.Conclusion: The infusion pump which is used by hospital is unqualified due to exceed the useful life,improper operation and maintenance,and other reasons.This paper finds the reasons and proposes the solutions.After calibration,the parameters of the infusion pump meet the clinical requirements.
