Conclusion of Technology Maturity Assessment Applying in Clinical Engineering
Since medical equipment is high tech device just second to weaponry and aerospace,the assessment of medical equipment technology evolution and maturity is significantly important.However such research is still in the exploratory stage in clinical engineering.It is lack of direct reference model or experience.This paper described the present of domestic and foreign technology maturity assessment in other similar areas and reviewed three main assessment methods including technology readiness level,patent analysis and bibliometrics.The paper summarized the features and the scope of application of these methods.The author analyzed the development bottleneck of traditional methods being applied to medical equipment management and also proposed a multi-dimensional technology maturity assessment based on technology evolution theories and technology,decomposition.
