Principle of stage control and high-strength support technique for deep coal mine roadway

  In view of problems such as severe deformation, long-period of deformation and difficulty in supporting the deep coal mine roadway, the poor controllability of surrounding rock was concluded through theoretical analysis.It is difficult to achieve roadway stability with one time-support using the current available technique, nor is it economically reasonable.Accordingly,the staged control technology based on high strength polygon enclosed steel frame was proposed.The optimal design of the closed type steel frame of the polygon was carried out, and the frame was tested in a connection roadway at ——980m level of Xingdong Colliery.The primary support applied was pressure-relieving roof bolts + cable bolts.The secondary support, applied when the entry deformation reached 80 % limiting deformation of cable bolt, was high strength polygon enclosed steel frame support.The surrounding rock deformation was monitored in the test roadway at the same time.The observation showed that this support technology could control the surrounding rock deformation effectively.
