FLAC3Dsimulation of mining subsidence in paste-like backfilling mining

  FLAC3D simulation was used to predict surface movement of the industrial square, Panel 1327 in South 1 mining district of Xima Coal Mine after the protection coal pillar was mined and backfilled with paste-like materials.The prediction results showed that FLAC3D and the probability integration method produced similar results, matching the field survey results.However, FLAC3D does not need complex parameters but depends on the physical properties of coal and rock cores drilled onsite.Comparing to the probability integration method FLAC3D is simpler.Therefore FLAC3D is a more effective research method than the probability integration method.
