Evaluation on the coal pillar stability in room mining and strip mining

摘要：

　　Room mining and strip mining method is one of the main methods of green mining ,it can protect the ecological environment and control the subsidence effectively.The key of room mining and strip mining is to evaluate the stability of the coal pillar.Based on the systematic analysis of the stability of coal pillar in China and abroad, this paper analyzes the existing problems and point out that the following problems should be researched in the future: (1) In coal pillar stress calculation, the influence of overlying rock, dip angle ,different position of the coal pillar and terrain should be taken into consideration; (2) Combined with the relevant theory of REV in rock mechanics, the effect of the strength of coal and the ratio of width and height on the strength of coal pillar was decided according to the small sample test parameter; (3) the influence of underground environment, coal seam structure, et al, on the long-term stability of the coal pillar should be further studied.The long-term strength of coal pillar should be scientifically determined and ensure the long-term stability of coal pillar.
