Discussion on mining subsidence calculation methods in China
Probability integral method has been playing an important part in mining-induced subsidence prediction in China.Since the late 1970s, this prediction method has made great contribution to the disciplines development of coal extraction induced subsidence and disaster prevention and reduction.Therefore most scholars to regard mining-induced subsidence prediction as mature and there is no need to give further study.But with plenty of construction project at the surface above coal seam extraction areas, people set higher accuracy and demand increase reliability greater and greater of the prediction.It is almost a stringent requirement in some cases, so probability integral method has been difficult to adapt to the new situation.The most important reason is the probability integral prediction method not revealed the mechanical behavior of mining-induced surface and overburden subsidence.So,this paper presents the advantages and positive role of using probability integral prediction method in the past decades, and ravels it pertain to phenomenological theory as other empirical prediction methods, all of these method have an inherently limitation.It proposes an expectation on mechanism of mining-induced subsidence for further study, and expects to activate the study atmosphere of the mining subsidence subject, to promote greater development of mining under buildings, railways and water bodies.
