The Study of Inter-turn Protection for The SCSRs Control Winding

  The traditional protection devices for the high voltage step controlled shunt reactor (SCSR) , detect the inter-turn short circuit fault of the control winding, through the differential protection which based magnetic balance and its serf-produced zero sequence over-current protection, insufficient of low sensitivity, slow speed and difficulty setting.Therefore, a new method of the inter-turn protection for the SCSRs control winding is proposed in this paper.It is the comprehensive utilization of the voltage, the net side windings current and the current of control winding, by differential over-current detection element, zero sequence over-current detection element and the anomaly detection element together constitute, can improve the protections speed, sensitivity and reliability when the inter-turn fault of control winding occurs, and simplify the protection setting set.
