The VLAN Based Configuration Principles of Network Load in Digital Substation
In digital substation, the hard wired secondary circuit is replaced by communication messages.The network load of digital substation is very heavy and the process capacity of IED is limited.It is the great challenge for technical staff to configure and optimize the network load in digital substation.At first, the network load in digital substation is analyzed.The type of network load and bandwidth requirements of SV and GOOSE frames on process level are given.At second, the VLAN based solution for digital substation is provided.VLAN breaks a physical network into several independent logical networks.VLAN redefine the broadcast domain.The objective of VLAN configuration is provided.The VLAN based configuration principles are provided.At last, a detail example is given.The example show how to configure the VLAN in digital substation based on the principles which ware put forward in this paper.
