A Novel Integrated Disturbance Identification Method for ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Line Protection
Disturbance on UHVDC transmission line often results in the mal-operation of line protection in practice.In order to ensure the accurate operation of line protection, A novel integrated disturbance identification method for UHVDC transmission line protection is proposed in this paper.The proposed method only need to utilize the voltage information of single pole in one end and realizes the identification of faulty line and lightning disturbance, whose identification principle is based on the different characteristic of voltage.A detailed ±-800kV UHVDC system simulation model, including lightning stroke simulation model, is built and Simulation test results show that the proposed disturbance identification method can distinguish disturbance from fault correctly and rapidly, which provides a strong guarantee for main protection to prevent the mal-operation in the case of disturbance.
