Summary of UHVDC Line Fault Recovery Function and Its Practical Simulation Calculation Method
DC line fault recovery function is especially significant to the UHVDC projects and is able to enhance their operation reliability.However, it is not beneficial to the safety and stability of AC system.Consequently, making an appropriate and effective DC line fault recovery strategy is necessary to consider two aspects, which are UHVDC projects operation reliability and AC system safety and stability respectively.This paper simply introduces the DC line fault recovery function firstly, and points out some conceptual and setting errors about it.Based on current research status and simulation demand, a simple and practical simulation calculation method for DC line fault recovery function is put forward.The method has certain guiding significance and reference value for UHVDC projects to formulate their recovery strategies and analyze the power system stability characteristics.
