A Local Power Balancing Method of Low-voltage Network Contained Distributed Generation Based on DC Interconnection
Power network structures are occasionally not adapted to the growth of energy needs, and uneven distribution of loads among transformer districts is commonly seen in low voltage level distribution systems. As the application of distributed energy resources, intermittence of its output may aggravate the problem of power imbalance, constraining efficiency of renewable energy generation, or leading to power flowing upstream into high voltage level systems, which would scathingly impacts works of protections and controls. In order to diminish this problem, an approach for power imbalance based on DC transmission is proposed, in this solution, DC transmission lines are used to link different transformer districts, and based on decoupled power control method, the entire real-time loads can be distributed among transformer districts according to the capacities of transformers, which results in a timely digestion of renewable energy and preventing upstream power flow. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through the simulation analysis.
