Application of SIMADYN D Serial Communication Protocol in Gui-Guang HVDC Project
Guizhou-Guangdong HVDC uses Siemens SIMADYN D system as its secondary control and protection system.The PM6board debug port communication protocol has not been open.This forms a large technical bottlenecks to on-site operation and maintenance work.And with computer constantly upgrading, the debugging computer with RS-232 interface has been unable to buy in the market.The existing serial adapter tool in most cases can not form a valid connection.It caused great inconvenience for converter station control and protection system of on-site commissioning work.This paper collects protocol data through monitoring data, analyzes the key packet format of the proprietary protocol, points out the shortage of the protocol, and discusses the optimization of the protocol.These bring grit benefits to the independent development and the debugging of procedures, and improve the efficiency of on-site commissioning and regular inspection.
