Overview of Development and Technical Verification of Network Switch in Smart Substations

　　With the promotion of IEC61850, substations are getting smarter and secondary equipment are networked obviously.This paper divides the research stage of network switch in smart substations into three stages and discusses the technical needs of each research stage.It analyzes the bearer service and characteristics of network architecture, it also tests and analyzes the jitter of network transmission sampling values.This paper introduces the features of dedicated network switch (3rd generation) in smart substations and shows a verification methods and results of timestamp accuracy and stability test at last.It forecasts the feasibility of networked substation.
