Operational Reliability Assessment of Protection System Based on Semi-Markov Model

  There are three operating phases in turn to complete the protection function, that is, the sampling phase, the judgment phase and the control phase.Every phase has the probability to be disturbed by interference which may lead protection system to the failure.The main purpose of this article is to build a stochastic model which can be used to describe the process that the protection system to accomplish its function in running time.According to the characteristics and parameters of Semi-Markov process, the operational reliability characteristics and parameters of protection system can be obtained more accurately.
