Overview and Application of Treatment Technology for Low Voltage Ride Through Capacity of the Coal Feeder in Thermal Power Plant

  The most adopted frequency-conversion technology of coal feeder in thermal power plant do not have the capacity of low voltage ride through, the thermal power unit tripped because of the coal feeder stopped caused by the frequency-converter tripping when the voltage sag, which brings hidden danger to the safe and stable operation of power grid.This paper analyzed the reason and impact of voltage sag on coal feeder in thermal power plant,introduced the treatment technologies to improve the low voltage ride through capability of coal feeder, including thermal control strategy optimization technology, optimization of frequencyconverter control parameters, online AC UPS technology, main and standby power supply switching technology, standby DC power supply technology and BOOST technology, summarized the principles and characteristics of these technologies.This paper introduced a scheme of the treatment of the low voltage ride through capacity of coal feeder in a thermal power plant, which is considered the actual production situation.
