LOESS LANDSLIDE MONITORING METHODS
Different types of loess landslides have different deformation and failure characteristics and require different types of monitoring techniques.Additionally, monitoring regional landslides requires different approaches than monitoring individual ones.This paper systematically summarizes different monitoring methods for landslides, discusses the suitability of different methods for individual loess landslides, and introduces the monitoring system used at Baotashan bess landslide.We also introduce regional precipitation monitoring methods and principles to guide laying out precipitation stations in loess regions.Using Baota District, Yanan City, as an example, this paper describes how precipitation monitoring can be used to provide early warnings about the changing risks of regional loess landslides.As a prevention and control measure for large-area geo-hazards, mass monitoring and prevention is important for loess landslide monitoring.This paper gives a brief introduction of the system components of mass monitoring and prevention, and closes with simple monitoring techniques.
