An analysis of compatible deformation characteristic of double-row stabilizing pile based on Brillouin Optical Time Domain Reflector

  This paper presents an investigation on the compatible deformation characteristic of double-row stabilizing pile based on a field monitoring using Brillouin Optical Time Domain Reflector (BOTDR) and corresponding data analysis.The research focuses on the influence factors of coordinate deformation, such as structure, horizontal distribution, pile cluster distance, pile spacing of double-row stabilizing piles etc.The deformation of double-row piles under the thrusting force was monitored by using a proposed distributed optical fiber sensing technology.A method based on the grey correlation theory was introduced to overcome the deficiency of data from stabilizing pile monitoring using distributed optical fiber sensing.The results show that the advantages of distributed optical fiber monitoring technology can be fully utilized to obtain sufficient discontinuous deformation data of pile body in a short period.In addition, the information, such as parameters in the theory and numerical analysis, geotechnical force distribution form between pile bents, is not necessarily required.The present study can be used to analyze monitoring data for coordination deformation characteristics investigation of double-row piles, which provides confidence for working status assessment and demonstrates the potential for further application.
