Experiment study on carbon coated heating optical fiber for sand leakage monitoring based on Distributed Temperature System
In this article, a new carbon coated heating optical fiber was adopted to monitor the seepage field at differenet velocity in sand.The principle of sand seepage field monitoring by carbon coated heating optical fiber based on the Distributed Temperature System(DTS) was introduced.A seepage field simulation device and monitoring program were designed as well.The experiment results show that different seepage velocity have a significant effect on the temperature rise and fall process of carbon coated heating optical fiber.By analyzing the timehistory curve of rise and fall process of carbon coated heating optical fiber, the relationship between seepage velocity and the highest stable temperature were obtained.Accordingly, a new thought of distributed seepage field monitoring in the rock and soil mass was proposed.
