The Comparative Study on Dynamic Flow Behaviors of Bullet-proof Steel Using Various Constitutive Models
In this paper, the dynamic tension of bullet-proof steels processed by hot stamping are tested on MTS810 and Hopkinson bar, in which four types of steels (B1, B2, C1 and C2) are used. For each sample, the flow behavior is predicted via Johnson-Cook (JC), Modified Johnson-Cook(MJC) and Cowper-Symonds (CS) models on the basis of experimental data, respectively, and the calculation method is also introduced. After that, the errors between prediction of each model and experimental data are analyzed and discussed. As a result, the most appropriate constitutive model for dynamic flow behaviors of bullet-proof steel is proposed. Moreover, our in-house software has been developed for calculating, comparing and selecting typical constitutive models for dynamic flow behaviors of materials, which has the functions of parameters input and output, curve plotting and data storing. The work carried out in this paper will be beneficial for accurate simulation of materials deformation.
