Progress and Achievements of Cokemaking Industry in China--Solid Foundation of Iron and Steel Industry

　　This paper reviews the progress and achievements of cokemaking industry and their supporting to iron and steel industry recent years in China The capacities of large-scale coke-oven,CDQ and stamp charging technology exceed180mt/a,140mt/a and 200mt/a respectively.These technologies have benefited coke quality and then improved BF operation.The behavior of coke in BF and the coke quality required for BF operation is discussed and summarized.The investigation concludes that the stamp charging technology can significantly improve the coke quality.Stamp charging coke has been used successfully in large scale blast furnaces.So the stamp charging process will contribute a lot to rational utilization of coking coal resources and sustainable development of cokemaking industry and iron and steel industry.
