Distribution Behavior of Phosphorus during Smelting Reduction of Steel Slag in Iron Bath
The industrial dephosphorization slags normally contain a large amount of iron oxide and P resources. Therefore,it is a potential renewable resource in case of inadequate iron ore supply. To recovery the valuable elements from dephosphorization slag, the novel approach was proposed using smelting reduction in iron bath to concentrate phosphorus from slag phase to iron bath. The experimental factors such as reduction time, temperature and slag composition were investigated in detail. The results showed that, the capacity of phosphate in slag became very lower by adding SiO2 to the original slag, and the melting point of slag also decreased. When the slag-metal ratio was 1: 2,almost of iron oxide was reduced and remove to the iron bath after reducing for 30min at1823K.However,the phosphorus coexist in slag, metal and gas phase, and distribution ratio of P in slag-metal-gas phase was 18.02%,68.72% and 13.26% under those conditions, respectively.
