Discussion on the Feasibility of Coke-Oven Gas Used in the Shaft Furnace
Recently DRI production is receiving increasing attention with the shortage of steel scrap.Among the methods of the direct reduction iron (DRI),gas-based reduction of iron ore in the shaft furnace is absolutely dominant method,but it is only suit for the region with adequate nature gas.The coke-oven gas resources are very rich in our country,and producing DRI by coke-oven gas doesnt only address the issue of gas source,but also make use of coke-oven gas efficiently.How to use coke-oven gas to produce DRI efficiently has been one of the most important research topics currently.At present,there isnt a mature technology for producing DRI by coke-oven gas in the shaft furnace in our country.This paper attends to discussion on the feasibility of coke-oven gas used in the shaft furnace according to theoretical analysis and calculating,and the aim is to provide process parameter for the implementation process.
