Urban Expansion and Spatial Governance in the Shiyang River Basin
The Shiyang River Basin has the most populous and the least per capita water resources in Chinese inland river basin.The contradiction between water supply and demand in the middle and lower reaches is extreme prominent.The environmental degradation seriously.And the basin is a typical regional of unsustainable developed economic and social.This article systematically analyses the land evaluation and prediction of urban spatial expansion on the basis of the socio-economic,regional transportation and ecological environment.We use land suitability evaluation method to identify the high-value area of urban expansion possibilities and townships suitable development.We proposed a program of spatial planning based on this.Firstly,we must identify the environmental protection areas and guide the reasonable expansion of urban.Secondly,it in order to strengthen the sand-fixing,soil and water resources conservation.Thirdly,it is to establish the local ecosystem in harmony with the coordination of arid zone to protect the system of forest,shrub,grass and desert.Fourthly,it is to promote the coordinate development of planning of the main functional areas and urbanization in Shiyang River Basin.
