Analysis on the Utilization and Management of the Yellow River Water Resources of Shanxi Province

摘要：

　　It is rich in coal resources,but short for water resources in Shanxi Province with nine drought years out of ten.The water shortage has been a major bottleneck restricting the economic and social development in Shanxi Province.With the growing shortage of water resources,the rational development and effective utilization of the Yellow River are becoming more and more important for the economic and social development in Shanxi Province,especially for the areas along the Yellow River.This paper analyses the main reasons for the low efficiency of water resources utilization of the Yellow River in Shanxi Province.On the condition that in the 12th Five-Year period Shanxi Province will improve the water project construction,while industrial and agricultural water consumption of the Yellow River Basin will significantly increase,we should further strengthen the development and utilization of the Yellow River water resources to guarantee the sustainable economic and social development in the basin by the greatest extent on the premise of maintaining the healthy life of the Yellow River.
