The Strategic Status and Role of the Northern Mainstream of the Yellow River in the System of Keeping Healthy Life of the Yellow River
The difficulty of taming the Yellow River is great due to the issues of sediment and lack of coordination between water and sediment.As a result,the sediment problem is the core issue of the management of the Yellow River.In the system of keeping healthy life of the Yellow River,the core of the nine methods is to solve problems such as less water much sand and imbalance between water and sediment .Based on the warping pilot project in Lianbo Beach,the article analyzes the strategic status of Lianbo Beach in the small northern mainstream,a natual flood-and sand-detention place,on the warping pilot project.Besides,considering the connecting role of the small northern mainstream in the peach flood scour test,the article focuses on the feasibility and scientificity of the transformation from the peach flood scour test into the production run during the period after Guxian Reservoir of the Great Northern Mainstream put into use.During this period,the joint regulation of water and sediment between reservoirs is more optimized and the way to manage the sediment is more complete and scientific.To conclude,this paper holds the view that the northern mainstream of the Yellow River plays a strategic and irreplaceable role in the system of keeping healthy life of the Yellow River .
