Evaluation of Improvement in Lake Water Environment by Ecological Water Transfer
Water transfer, from relatively clean water resources to an objective lake,is commonly considered to be an effective way to improve water environment by redistributing the water resources.Scientific estimation of water transfer quantity and quantitative evaluation of potential improvement of water environment are core issues of the lake environmental management. This study reports a simple evaluation method on the performance of water transfer to shallow lakes, based on a zero-dimensional water quality model. The method has been judged by means of a three-dimensional model and measured data. Finally, the simple model is applied to a typical water transfer project of an urban lake; the performances of this project are quantitatively predicted for different typical years.
