Study on Ecology-oriented Water Resources Rational Allocation in Qinghai Lake Basin
During recent 50 years,the water level of Qinghai Lake showed gradually downtrend,the water storage was continuously decreasing,the lake area was shrinking,and water salinity was increasing.The changes have been a threat to the ecological environment and the people s livelihood around the Qinghai Lake basin.Based on water use status and the economic and social development in the Qinghai Lake basin,as the goal of zero growth in water demand,in accordance with the principle of the priority to ensure the urban and rural domestic water and the water quantity of major cross-sections of the river while to strictly control the water use in industrial,agricultural and other sectors of water and properly use the groundwater and exploit unconventional water resources,the scheme of water resources rational allocation in the Qinghai Lake basin was proposed.By the plan,the whole amount of water supply will maintain 1 × l0s on m3 at the planning years in Qinghai Lake basin,including the surface water decreasing from 1.009,8 × l08 m3 in the base year of to 0.958,1 × 10s m3 in 2030 while appropriately increasing groundwater and other water sources use.Applying the ecology-oriented water resources allocation will slow down the downtrend water level of Qinghai Lake.
