Research on Ecological Water Demand in River Based on River Health
River health indicates that the natural function and social function of the river can work properly under current state.As the demand of the human on water resource increases,the ecological water demand in river cannot be satisfied and the ecological environment degraded gradually such that the river health is seriously affected.This article has stated contents of ecological water requirement in river and determining principle,analyzed principle and applicable condition of various applicable calculation methods(hydrology method,hydraulics method,habitat assessment method,holistic analysis method and the like),based on it,proposed to divide ecological water demand in river for maintaining river ecological system structure,function and morphology into water demand for sediment transport in flood season and ecological basic flow out of flood season.Take Ying River of Huai River Basin for example,the research on determining ecological water demand in river has been conducted by selecting section of a completed hydrologic station and adopting Montana method and typical annual minimum monthly runoff process from hydrological calculation methods.
