The Causes and Strategies for the Deterioration of Ecological Environment of Baiyang Lake
The Baiyang Lake is one of the most important wetlands in the plain in North China.In recent decades,the wetland is facing more and more stem test.Baiyang Lake was chosen as one of the pilots of river and lake health program in the Haihe River Basin.Through the survey in 2011,the results indicated that there are four reasons for the deterioration of ecology environment in Baiyang Lake as follow:(1) the basic reason for ecological environment issue is the decrease of the amount of inflow and the decline of water level,which resulted in the pollutants concentration,water self-purification ability drops and vicious circle of the ecological environment of Baiyang Lake.(2) The scale of aquaculture in Baiyang Lake is huge.The aquaculture feed and feces directly go into water and deposit at the bottom of the Lake.(3) There are numerous residents surrounding Baiyang Lake.Moreover,there is rapid rourism development in Baiyang Lake upstream.Therefore,the large direct discharge of sanitary sewage in Baiyang Lake produces huge environmental pressure.(4) The economy develops well around upstream area,with population growth and increase of industrial and agricultural water consumption.That is the main reason that the water quality of all upstream rivers of Baiyang Lake is not good.Most rivers mainly receive upstream industrial and sanitary sewage,which actually become a river for waste water.Based on the analysis of ecological environment,the authors put forward some strategies for the protection and remediation of ecological environment as follow: (①)interbasin water transfer; ② optimal culture model;③strengthening the control of pollution sources; ④ecological restoration technology.
