A New Proposal on Control and Water Purification of Yellow River by UTSURO (Tidal Pond)

　　In order to meet the three major themes and four targets on Yellow River by Chinese government,we propose a new technology for flood control and water purification of Yellow River using UTSURO.Originally,UTSURO comes from Chinese philosophy.It means vanity.A water region enclosed by an embankment in a sea with tide is called UTSURO.If a part of the embankment is opened,a strong tidal flow may be generated every time when the tide changes.The tidal current digs the riverbed at the river mouth and makes the riverbed lower than the sea water level.It increases the river slope of the river mouth.Hence,the flow energy due to the gravity lowers the riverbed at the upper reaches,until the stability slope is reached.We also make a proposal on water purification of Yellow River using UTSURO.
