Research of Reach in Xiaolangdi Reservoir Area for De-siltation Construction with Pulsed Jet
Xiaolangdi Reservoir is a gorge type reservoir in mountainous area with a high gradient of reservoir bottom and numerous branches along both sides,whose reservoir capacity of main stream accounts for about 60% of the total.After the reservoir ran into impoundment and operation,the high sediments flux into the reservoir from upstream results in sand bar at the terminal of backwater following their siltation.The location of the silted delta has prominent influence on the application of the reservoir capacity and the formation of tributary sand barrier bar.In the perspective of water transfer and sediments transfer,it is expected that the sediments into the reservoir can be deposited in front of the dam gates,which is in favor of the removal of sediments out of the reservoir and its adjustment,control and management.According to the siltation pattern and the bed composition of the reservoir area in post-flood season of 2009,two reaches are planned to be selected initially as test reaches: ①)a reach for routine work 20 ~ 60 km far away from dam area;② a reach for water transfer and sediments transfer work 60 ~ 100 km from the dam area.
