Preliminary Study on the Regulation Scheme for the Flood Plain Areas in the Lower Reach of the Yellow River
The flood plain areas in lower reach of the Yellow River play an important role in the flood control and sediment reduction system in the lower reach of the Yellow River,as an important flood diversion and silt deposition area,are also the hometown of nearly1.9 × 106 people.On the premise that flood control safety of the lower reach of the Yellow River is guaranteed,it is essential to improve the relations between floodplain regulation and the production and life of the masses and to rationally determine the regulation scheme for the flood plain areas of the in the lower reach of the Yellow River.Based on the multifaceted analysis of the impact on downstream flood control,river erosion and deposition,economic indicators and operation of projects and possible social problems,the gradual abolishing production dykes and applying the whole flood plain can better play the role of flood detention and sih deposition,is also in favor of flood management and scheduling,can create the conditions for a win-win situation for the downstream river management as well as production and development of the masses in flood plain areas.Therefore,is taken as a recommended scheme for governance of flood plain areas in the in the lower reach of the Yellow River.
