Existing Problems and Countermeasures of Water Level Elevation in the Taihu Basin
Taihu Basin is a typical plain river network region,and the high precision in water level record is required.But precision of water level can not meet the basin s water management demand,owing to lack of equal land subsidence,unified height datum and enough reliable leveling calibration and measurement starting survey points.Based on the analysis of problems of water level elevation system in Taihu Basin,This article proposed that related water management departments should pay attention and increase investment to build a basinwide,high-grade leveling measure net covering all hydrological station with reliable highgrade leveling starting survey points.The department also should develop a unified basin elevation management software system to manage water level elevation,and improve precision of basin water level record to provide reliable basis for water management.
