The Study on Building the Plain Reservoir Relying on Flood Control Project of Jindi River Downstream
Jindi River is an important branch of the Yellow River downstream,and the watershed is located in flood detention of the North Jindi River of the Yellow River,which is an important part of flood control system of the Yellow River downstream.In 1999,the first improvement engineer project of the main stream of Jindi River began to run,and several heavy floods happened.The flood confluenced quickly,but it was quite hard to be drainaged into the Yellow.And the countercurrent was long.After the Zhangzhuang sluice was rebuilt,floor elevation was 40.0 m (the Yellow Sea level,the same below),while the level of beach face of the entrance to the Yellow was 43.0 m.It was becoming harder and harder for flood of Jindi River to be drained into the Yellow River,meanwhile there were many troubles for the Zhangzhuang sluice,which made the flood prolonged stay within the 20 km riverbed of the downstream,forming impound about 5.0 m to 6.0 m deep and 1.00 × 108 m3,for 9 months long.The field in the river road could not be cultivated and the water cant be used,which make great loss to the population.Firstly,the water can t be used,and drown the field.Secondly,it can t make full use of the water resource.Then we can use the present project,with less investment.If building plain reservoir based on flood control project of Jindi River,it can save investment,be efficient,and can solve water shortage.Another advantage is to transfer water to the Yellow River at dry season from other reservoir,to clean riverway in order to keep the Yellow River healthy and play its role in economic development.
