Discussing on Water Price Renewing in China
With the socio-economic development and the population increasing,water shortages will become a very important factor restricting China s social and economic development.Now,the pressure from water resources shortages becomes greater and greater,in the meanwhile,waste of water resources are widespread in domestic water,industrial water,water used in agriculture and ecological use.This paper suggests that establishing a scientific and rational water price system and making full use of economic instruments can increase awareness and use of water resources for water-saving efficiency.This not only helps people enhance their awareness of water-saving,relieve the pressure of water resources shortage in China,but will also help to decrease the farmers burden and to carry out sustainable development in China.
