Resource Utilization of Reservoir Sediment and River Health
Rivers are closely linked to social development.But sediment problems of reservoir always affect the healthy operation of rivers.In China,rivers,such as the Yellow River,the Yangtze River,the Pearl River and so on,all are faced with the problem that sedimentation leads to reducing reservoir storage which impacts the reservoir benefit and even makes reservoirs scrapped.Now,sediment processing technologies of reservoir,including pipeline sediment technology,efficient desilting and dredging technology of deep reservoir,provide technical support for reservoir sediment transport.At the same time,such as sih back and solid barrier,silt filling embankment river,and making large rescue stone,steamed brick,sediment baked brick,also provide the effective way for sediment resources utilization.Combined with the existing sediment transport and resource utilization technologies,considering the sediment-laden rivers of maintaining reservoir capacity and reducing sediment of the lower channel,the sediment treatment should be mainly resource utilization and the sediment in different reservoir area can be used in different purposes.The country should advance into a part of the fund as the start-up capital,and then use the profits to maintain long-run after the implementation of sediment resource utilization and reservoir power generation.For less sand river to maintain the stability of downstream channel and ensure the demand such as navigation,the sediment should be dealt with reasonable utilization of reservoir sediment release technology,keeping the reservoir sediment from reducing owing to the reservoir construction in recent years,and the investment mode of government investment for public welfare should be give priority to,reservoir power generation benefit compensation mode of an ounce of prevention is worth.
