Banked-up Water Analysis of Bridge Construction Based on Two Dimensional Finite Element Numerical Simulation
Bridge building in the river will raise the river water levels and velocity around the bridge piers and abutment wall, and these will take great effect on river flood control. How to evaluate the water levels increment and effect to river flood is essential for river channel management.Based on the river channel two dimensional finite element numerical model, these effects are analyzed. The main indicators include velocity variation, water stage variation, around bridge piers and abutment wall.By the above data, some results can be made. The maximum water level increment of banked-up water level in front of bridge is 0.21 m height, the data of banked-up water level by empirical formula is 0.25 m.The difference value of maximum banked-up water level is0.04 m,this explains the correspondence and the reasonableness of the two methods.
