The Application of Muskingum Segmentation Algorithm Forecasting Wubao, Tongguan Flood Process in the Midstream of the Yellow River

  Real-time forecasting the flood in Wubao,Tongguan reach in the Yellow River,understanding the hydrological situation in downstream can contribute to formulate the scheme of water resources allocation,prevent the phenomenon of wasting the water in flood and drying up in drought downstream,which can alleviate the contradiction between the suppy and demand of water resources effectively; meanwhile the accurate flood forecast can lay the solid foundation for the research of sediment in the Yellow River,provide the reasonable basis for managing the Yellow River.Aiming at the character of longer river,the more tributaries and the flood influenced seriously by the tributaries in Wubao,Tongguan interzone of the Yellow River,this paper puts forward the method of parameters calibration in Wu Long and Long Tong interzone respectively forecasting flood process by using Muskingum segmentation algorithm,forecasting and simulating the flood process by using the calibrated parameters,identifing the initial flow in every segment nodes,establishing the scheme of dealing the tributaries based on first combination and then evolvement method.The results from the model validation has shown that the simulated and the observed flood process fit very well.Moreover,the simulated flood volume is fairly satisfactory,which explaines that this model is not only feasible but also has the higher precision.
