Optimal Operation Rules of Reservoir Releasing Facilities Based on Smooth Support Vector Machine

  Considering the impacts of the releasing facilities on flood regulation,this study establishes a multi-objective model with the releasing facilities as constraints.The optimal operation results of the releasing facilities can be obtained by the successive optimization algorithm (POA) according to some observed historical flood hydrographs and design flood hydrographs.A support vector machine (SVM) model of operation rules of releasing facilities is established,optimized by the differential evolution algorithm (DE) using the optimal results by POA,and then used to simulate operation of releasing facilities.The results show that the optimal operation rules of releasing facilities derived from the SSVM model can efficiently increase the benefits of flood control and power generation and make the flood regulation process more smooth and steady.So it is feasible and practicable for the SSVM to achieve the optimal operation of releasing facilities.
