3-D Numerical Simulation for Thermal Discharge and Residual Chlorine Distribution of Power Plant with Its Impact on Water Security and Water Environment
Waste heat and residual Chlorine of power plant that directly discharged into surrounding water will inevitably affect local water security and water environment.Compared with coastal power plants, inland power plants have limited water for dilution, and the activities of mankind are more frequent nearby the inland power plants, which increasingly attracting the attention of the people. This paper uses Delft3D to simulate the thermal discharge and residual Chlorine distribution of an inland power plant. The numerical results agree well with the measured data, which indicates that the results of Delft3D can well reflect the transport and diffusion laws of thermal discharge and residual Chlorine distribution under the suitable parameters.Besides, the results of this paper provide a basis for water security and water environment protection.
